Controlling Media Objects via iStore Admin GUI

This article basically deals with the following

Creation of

• Content Components
• Media objects
• Media Contents

1) Content Components:

Content components can be created as follows

1)Go to the Advanced tab and click on Content Components

 

2) Creation of contents

Navigate to Content  àMy Content àClick  on Create a Item

2) Give the type (image/html etc) , name and click on continue and
Upload the content in the next page.

Creation of Media Objects:

Navigate to Content àMedia Objects

Click on Create Media Object and enter the name and programmatic access name and apply.

Click on Add Content for adding the content ( i.e image file/html file)

 

Assign the content created earlier to this media object

 

Media Objects assigned for Trails-end Product Detail Page:

Navigate to CatalogàProducts

Search for the Product

Navigate to Content

Here there are options of assigning the Large Images and Thumbnail Images to the media objects created for a products.

Thus each of the large Images and the thumbnails in the Product Details page could be managed via the iStore Admin by creation of media objects assigning them contents and associating these media objects to Content Components for the specific Products.
