How to Skip Scheduling in Oracle Order Management Flow

Customer sometimes come up with requirement to skip the scheduling process. For e.g. repair orders. In past few years what I have noticed is that, in most cases customer thinks about modifying the workflow.

Infact, there is no need to go though such process as oracle has provide a simple setup at the transaction type level to skip the scheduling.

Below is the Navigation path

Navigator > Order management responsibility > Setup > transaction type >

Define >

In the transaction type Form we have Field Scheduling Level and has LOV associated with it.

LOV has values like

Inactive Demand without Reservation.

Inactive Demand with Reservation etc.

Whenever user requirement is to skip the scheduling they can select any of the above values based on their requirement for reservation.
