Query and Update Service Requests online
Oracle forms does not offer a whole lot of flexibility, nor is it efficient to query or update a range of Service Requests using Oracle Service. There was this requirement from one of our client to come up with a user friendly and presentable UI, where they can enter the parameters they would like to use to query service requests, and be able to display, update and even be able to export it into an excel file.
We came up with a bunch of JSPs, where the user can enter various parameters and be able to drill down to various levels of the Service Request, eg. by Account Number, by SR Number etc etc.
Following are some sample UIs that can be modified as per the requirements.
First screenshot gives a range of SRs, created in a date range. Click on the link provided and drill down to the Account details of the SR. Further we can drill down on the SR number and get the details of the SR such as the problem code, notes etc etc.
Another UI was provided where the user can search by Service Request Status, PO Number, Serial Number etc etc. Further they can search by the Statuses set up in Oracle Service.
