B2B & B2C eCommerce storefronts for 4 divisions of Rheem Manufacturing Privately held, 2000 employees Integrations with Oracle
E-Business Suite modules such as Order Management, Inventory, Pricing using Oracle Integrated Cloud interface.
Rheem Manufacturing Company is an American privately held manufacturer that produces residential and commercial water heaters and boilers, as well as heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. The company also produces and sells products under the Ruud brand name.
Rheem Manufacturing’s Replacement Parts Division were using Oracle iStore, an old legacy on premise application for B2B and B2C storefronts. iStore, being a single tier architecture, lacked intuitive user interfaces and customer experience with limited flexibility to manage content, setting up catalogs and categories. With its tight integration to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), the iStore storefront features were dependent on the availability and real-time data from Oracle EBS. Provisioning the changes to the production server was heavily dependent on the infrastructure team. Additionally, there were no major insights derived from historical data due to minimal reporting and search capabilities. Being obsolete in its tech stack and functionalities, future product support of Oracle iStore was also a gray area.
Rheem Manufacturing selected Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC) as it offers highly a secure, scalable and reliable solution to build and deploy responsive B2B & B2C web storefronts across multiple platforms, for any business vertical, when compared to the archaic Oracle iStore platform. Rheem’s storefront administrators can avail Intuitive interfaces of OCC, with easy to use drag and drop interfaces, not requiring technical knowhow. Marketing teams at Rheem will now have the ability to send out marketing and promotional content on their own without any help from the technical team. Being hosted on a secure, PCI Compliant Cloud-based server, Rheem can now focus on their core business activities, while Oracle provides periodic updates to the technology and features, saving considerable time, effort and cost to Rheem.
iBizSoft has been successfully implementing Oracle’s eCommerce platforms such as iStore, ATG, Endeca with integration to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) since 2001. iBizSoft was able to demonstrate its deep and holistic approach with Cloud implementation, that included one of its unique skills centered around integration with complex Oracle EBS modules and processes. Being able to deploy accelerators, with ready to use Webhooks and microservices for the integration with EBS, played a significant role in iBizSoft securing this partnership with Rheem.
